I wrote the bulk of...I have noticed the same thing. I wrote the bulk of my dissertation two years ago, then took a break during which I blogged every day. Now that I am finishing my Dissertation (again) I am appalled at some of my writing style of the past and now I write in a much more clear style. I also took my old published papers a couple of months ago and practically re-wrote them and reposted that on my blog.
