Very nice math posters.

I am a sucker for things that explain math to a general audience. Graham Leuschke points to this collection of posters (and detailed web pages explaining them) placed by the Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences in the London Underground as part of the celebrations commemorating World Mathematical Year 2000.

In honor of our current fascination with Lorenz attractors, here is the corresponding poster (click it for more information):

  1. You misspelled Leuschke. It's "sch" not "shc."

  2. Thanks for the interesting links, Suresh. A few months ago, I found a link to this number spiral site, which I found interesting.

  4. I bought this series for our undergraduate mathematics lounge and had them dry-mounted. They look great and the students love them!

    I also purchased this set

    from the University of Wuppertal.

  8. Re: Math Posters

I found some great math posters at:
    http://www.MathematiciansPictures.com

They have an index of the Math Posters at:http://mathematicianspictures.com/Posters%20&%20Prints.htm

As well as Geometry Math Posters, they have Euclid, Riemann posters, and other famous mathematician posters, general math posters, physics & quantum physics posters, and a huge amount of Pi posters.

    Also Math Mugs, Tshirts, etc.

The ones I bought got delivered really quickly, and were even better than I expected - printed on really heavy high quality paper.

I wish I could buy one of each - I'm hoping that when they see this here someone will put this site on my Christmas list for math gifts.

PS: For any of my friends this (or anyone else who might want to buy me one :), the ones called "Famous Mathematicians" are the ones I want first.
