सस्ता और टिकाऊ

Via The Opti Mystic, this gem from the latest edition of the Indian blog carnival (or the Bharateeya Blog Mela):
Indian farmers have come up with what they think is the real thing to keep crops free of bugs. Instead of paying hefty fees to international chemical companies for patented pesticides, they are reportedly spraying their cotton and chilli fields with Coca-Cola.

(from the Guardian, via Jagadish)

In Hindi, there is a phrase that captures this: सस्ता और टिकाऊ
It literally translates as "Cheap, and solid", and is often used in advertisement tag lines.
